Lumeitalia LED lighting for tunnels and highways is designed per CIE 88:2004, EN 13201 and ANAS/ASPI technical specs. We manage four zones (access, threshold, transition, interior, exit) with IP66/IK10 luminaires, counter-flow optics and dynamic DALI-2 dimming based on external L20 luminance, ensuring visual safety and up to 70% energy savings.
Each tunnel is designed per CIE 88: access zone (L20 continuously measured), threshold zone (Lth ≥ k×L20), transition zone (exponential decrement), interior zone (Lin per category) and exit zone.
DALI-2 dimming with external L20 sensors adapts luminance in real time, eliminating black-hole effect and residual glare.
EN-AC-46100 die-cast aluminium bodies with epoxy coating resist tunnel chemicals (Cl-, NOx), high-pressure washing and heavy traffic vibrations. Class II wiring and redundant drivers ensure MTBF >100,000 hours.
Lumeitalia is an ANAS-qualified supplier and has lit over 200 tunnels in Italy, including sections of A1, A4, A14 motorways. Full lighting design with L20 calculation, dynamic simulation and instrumental commissioning included.
