EDGE Alluminio belongs to the guardrail-integrated lighting scope and is used in sections where poles cannot be installed: viaducts, curves, junctions, protected areas. Three items always come first: classification of the scope under the applicable standard, the real installation geometry (spacings, heights, brackets or pitches) and the maintenance conditions planned over the installation life cycle.

The requirement must be stated before product selection and repeated at commissioning with the same measurement method. A requirement written without a reference standard and without verification conditions is the most frequent cause of dispute at acceptance.
During installation the main variables are aiming, tightening of the fixings and correct execution of the electrical terminations. In operation, the maintenance plan must state the cleaning frequency of the optical surfaces, periodic gasket checks and how electronic components are replaced.
